America and Woes. America’s Woes and America’s troubles have begun, and only Americans themselves can put an end to them. The cause of your misfortune? Yes, Donald Trump.
We Europeans struggle to understand how so many of you fell for his empty promises. I won’t even bother repeating all the absurdities, but some things must be said.
America and Woes, Donald Trump.
How does one manage to ruin relations with the closest and most reliable neighbor in just a few months? This is about the United States under President Donald Trump and its deteriorating relationship with Canada.
Since Trump’s return to office, U.S.-Canada relations have been in steady decline. He has launched a self-destructive trade war against America’s own neighbors and refuses to back down from his threats to absorb Canada into the U.S.
Canadians are furious and are openly resisting Trump’s aggressive stance.
And this isn’t just empty rhetoric—according to The New York Times, in early February, Trump told then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over the phone that, in his view.
The agreement defining the U.S.-Canada border was not legally binding and should be renegotiated. I won’t even mention Greenland—that’s a whole other level of insanity, akin to annexing another country in the spirit of Putin himself. Is this senility, or just outright stupidity?
Americans, answer us—how did you elect him?
America and Woes: Tariffs
As the trade war between the U.S. and the European Union intensifies, Trump has threatened to impose a 200% import tariff on wine, champagne, and other alcoholic beverages from France and EU member states.
How does that sound to you? Because I can guarantee Europe won’t let that slide. Soon, Americans will find themselves facing shortages—not just of eggs and beef (which is already happening), but of many other goods imported from Europe as well.
Europeans have finally realized that U.S. involvement in European security is neither free nor guaranteed.
Trump’s policies have forced the EU to seek alternative trade agreements at an unprecedented pace. His threats—and now actions—such as imposing tariffs on aluminum and steel, have pushed Brussels to strengthen economic ties elsewhere.
And Then, Utter Disgrace.
On Monday, Trump announced he was revoking decisions made by his predecessor, Joe Biden, regarding preventive pardons for members of Congress involved in the investigation against him for refusing to accept the 2020 election results.
What kind of president does that?
It’s unjust and unacceptable. Trump is beginning to act like Putin—ignoring laws and disregarding agreements. Trump’s alignment with Putin is further evidenced by his decision to cut funding for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, potentially leading to their closure.
This has caused international alarm, as these were some of the few remaining independent news sources in regions where freedom of speech is under constant threat.
And as for Trump calling Putin a “good guy”? I have nothing left to say. Does he really not understand that Russia is the embodiment of evil in Europe?
Does he not grasp that it was Putin who launched the war in Ukraine?
Trump fails to see that Russia deserves punishment—not that Ukraine should be stripped of its territories and its president, Zelensky, humiliated at every turn.
Wake up, America!
Donald Trump or a Europe in Danger. At the heart of Kremlin propaganda is the U.S.-Ukraine agreement on a 30-day ceasefire—one that requires Moscow’s approval.
As expected, the dictator Vladimir Putin, in his usual hypocrisy, declared that “the idea is good,” but there are still “too many uncertainties.” Predictably, he also set his own conditions for peace.
Notably absent from his statements was any mention of the UN’s findings that Russia has committed crimes against humanity in Ukraine—torturing and kidnapping civilians as part of a systematic campaign of terror.
Even worse, Russia refuses to acknowledge the UN investigation and rejects any cooperation. And yet, to Trump, Putin is still “a good guy.” Perhaps Trump is a KGB agent? Honestly, I’m starting to think he just might be.
Good luck, America—without Trump!
Russia attacks Ukrainian civilian infrastructure just hours after Trump-Putin call
The chairwoman of the Bundestag’s Defense Committee, Maria Agnes Straka-Zimmermann, has expressed concern about the conversation between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, writes “unian.net”.
In her opinion, it may not only be about the “partition of Ukraine”, but also about wider consequences for Europe.
Straka-Zimmermann said on WELT television: “What is happening now is truly frightening. And given how unpredictable the American president is, we cannot know what will happen next.”
Why have US Democrats buried their heads in the sand?
Already during Donald Trump’s first term as president, much attention was paid to his cognitive and psychological characteristics –
the US president’s entourage believed that he had difficulty concentrating on one thing for a long time, and his public statements and behavior also caused concern among psychiatrists, until he was “diagnosed” with schizophrenia in 2017.
Now, 27 mental health specialists have jointly published a book, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” in which they warn that his mental state poses a threat to global security, writes “The Insider.”
